Best Lawyers Honors Eleven Joseph, Hollander & Craft Attorneys

Joseph, Hollander& Craft LLC is pleased to announce eight attorneys have been included in the Best Lawyers in America® – 2021 Edition, including three “Lawyer of the Year” honorees. Three attorneys were also recognized in the inaugural Ones to Watch guide, which recognizes lawyers with less than 10 years of experience in private practice.

Wichita

Ross A. Hollander was named Wichita Lawyer of the Year for Labor Law – Management. He was further recognized for his expertise in Employment Law – Management and Litigation – Labor and Employment. Hollander is co-chair of the firm’s Civil Litigation and Employment Law Division and has practiced employment, labor, and commercial law for more than 40 years.

Julia A. Craft was honored by Best Lawyers in Family Law. Craft is chair of the firm’s Family Law Division and manager of its Wichita Office. Her family law practice includes divorce, child custody, child support, parenting time, spousal maintenance, premarital agreements, separation agreements, guardianships, and child in need of care proceedings. In 2018, the Wichita Business Journal’s annual Women in Business awards honored Craft as one of the area’s outstanding businesswomen.

Jess W. Hoeme was recognized by Best Lawyers in the area of Criminal Defense: General Practice and DUI/DWI Defense. Hoeme leads the firm’s Criminal Defense Practice Group. His practice is focused on criminal litigation across the state of Kansas, and he represents Kansas law enforcement officers and agencies in matters of professional affairs and investigations.

Topeka / Lawrence

Kristine Lawless was named Topeka Lawyer of the Year for Criminal Defense: White Collar. She was also honored in the sector of Criminal Defense: General Practice. Lawless has extensive experience in complex federal and state criminal cases, including appeals. Her practice now primarily focuses on family law, and the Kansas Supreme Court has certified her as a mediator in domestic cases.

Casey Meek was named Topeka Lawyer of the Year for Criminal Defense: General Practice. Meek represents individuals in Kansas and Missouri during the investigation and prosecution of felony and misdemeanor charges, including: drug & alcohol offenses; DUI & other traffic offenses; property crimes; person crimes; and probation violations.

Christopher M. Joseph was honored in the area of Criminal Defense: General Practice. Joseph is the firm’s managing member, and he leads the Criminal and Civil Asset Forfeiture Practice Groups. He represents individuals and businesses during the investigation and prosecution of criminal charges in federal and state courts. He also represents businesses and individuals in complex civil litigation, primarily in federal court.

Diane L. Bellquist was honored by Best Lawyers in the area of Banking and Finance Law. Bellquist is co-chair of the firm’s Civil Litigation and Employment Law Division. Her practice focuses on the defense of licensed individuals and entities before their respective regulatory boards.

Overland Park

Christopher M. McHugh was honored by Best Lawyers in the practice of Cannabis Law. McHugh leads the firm’s Cannabis Law Practice Group. He counsels entities and individuals on law relating to cannabis, marijuana, and hemp projects; represents entities seeking medical marijuana licensure; and assists in all manner of related regulatory issues.

Ones to Watch

Katherine E.M. Chlumsky (Wichita) was honored by Best Lawyers in the area of Family Law. Chlumsky represents individuals in domestic matters including divorce, child custody, child support, parenting time, spousal maintenance, and paternity.

Rebecca Henry (Wichita) was also recognized in the area of Family Law. Her practice primarily focuses on divorce, child custody, child support, spousal maintenance, and paternity. Henry also handles wills and estate planning, probate court matters, guardianship, conservatorship, and adoption.

Carrie Parker (Lawrence) was recognized by Best Lawyers in the Appellate Practice sector. Parker represents individuals and businesses in complex civil litigation and during the investigation and prosecution of criminal charges. Devoting much of her practice to persuasive writing, Parker has ample experience with district court motion practice and appellate advocacy in state and federal courts.
