TOPEKA, Kan. – Attorney Alex Gilmore has joined the Topeka office of Joseph, Hollander & Craft LLC. His practice focuses primarily on administrative law with an emphasis on professional licensure.
Gilmore, a 2016 graduate of the University of Kansas School of Law, also holds a bachelor’s degree from KU in classical antiquity, with minors in art history and philosophy. During his third year of law school, he combined his art history and legal training by working as a legal intern for KU’s Office of the General Counsel and advising the University’s Spencer Museum of Art on issues relating to intellectual property, contracts and museum management.
In addition, Gilmore spent a year as research assistant to KU Law School Professor Raj Bhala, Associate Dean for International and Comparative Law and Rice Distinguished Professor. In this capacity, Gilmore conducted in-depth legal research and wrote drafts for scholarly publications including Understanding Islamic Law and the Dictionary of International Trade Law. He also wrote draft chapters on environmental law, labor law and intellectual property law of India for a forthcoming book on business law in India.
