TOPEKA, Kan. — Joseph, Hollander & Craft (JHC) is proud to welcome attorney Shawna Miller to its Topeka family law group. Miller joins veteran family lawyers Ardith Smith-Woertz and M. Kristine Lawless to expand the Topeka office’s ability to serve family law clients in Shawnee County, Jackson County, and surrounding areas.

Miller’s family law experience dates back nearly 20 years. Between 2005 and 2015, Miller represented clients in divorce, custody, support, and paternity matters from Miller Law Office, LLC in Holton, Kan. Her private practice also included probate and estate planning, bankruptcy, and criminal defense.
Most recently, Miller served as Jackson County attorney, where she prosecuted all manner of offenses, but especially sexual offenses involving minor victims and serious person felonies. A dedicated advocate for survivors of domestic abuse and sexual assault, Miller has also worked as a sexual assault counselor for YWCA Battered Women’s Task Force in Topeka; served on the Kansas Attorney General’s Office Batterers Intervention Advisory Board; and volunteered with The Crisis Center, Inc.
Discussing her return to private practice, Miller said, “I am both excited and honored to join the team at Joseph, Hollander & Craft. The firm is truly the best of the best! I am looking forward to continuing to grow professionally under their leadership.”
