OVERLAND PARK, Kansas — On July 1, 2022, Joseph, Hollander & Craft, LLC was pleased to welcome Kansas City family law attorney Rachel Whitsitt to its Overland Park office. Her addition to the firm has doubled the size of JHC’s Greater Kansas City family law group, which also includes Kansas City family law attorney Christine Rosengreen.

“I am honored to join the attorneys here at JHC,” Rachel said. “Their experience in the legal community, and their reputation for transparency and high quality results for their clients were what drew me to this firm. Having collaborated with Christine Rosengreen before joining JHC, I knew from firsthand experience that I was joining a strong team. I look forward to furthering the good work of JHC while I assist the Kansas City area with their family law needs.”

Rachel joins JHC with more than a decade of experience serving Kansas and Missouri family law clients at Whitsitt & Whitsitt, LLC. Practicing alongside her father, long-time Johnson County attorney Mike Whitsitt, Rachel gained significant experience with high-asset divorce cases and related issues—like complex property valuations, making and interpreting premarital agreements, and distinguishing income from property when stock options and S-Corporations are involved. Rachel also has significant experience helping clients navigate complex child custody and child support situations, making sure her clients are able to achieve results geared toward the best interests of their children. Drawing on this knowledge, Rachel now helps JHC’s clients adeptly navigate these and similarly complex situations.

Prior to beginning her law career, Rachel earned B.A.s in Political Science and Psychology from Kansas State University (2007) and her J.D. from Creighton University School of Law (2010). She was admitted to practice law in Colorado in 2010 and in Kansas and Missouri in 2012. Rachel is a member of the Kansas Bar Association, the Missouri Bar Association, the Johnson County Family Law Inn of Court, and the Kansas Women’s Attorney Association.

Rachel assists Kansas and Missouri clients with family law matters involving divorce, child custody, child support, spousal maintenance, guardianship, grandparent rights, and paternity matters. Persons in need of an Overland Park family lawyer may contact Rachel at 913-948-9490 or [email protected].
