LAWRENCE, KS. – Joseph, Hollander & Craft (JHC) proudly welcomed family law attorney Kylee Tokoi to its Lawrence office in November 2023. Her addition to the firm has doubled the size of JHC’s Lawrence-based family law group, which also includes family law attorney Hannah Wittman.
In 2019, Kylee graduated with her Bachelor of Arts from Colorado State University, where she was a member of the Mortar Board Honor Society. In 2022, she received her Juris Doctorate from Washburn University School of Law, where she was a member of the Children and Family Law Society. Kylee was admitted to practice law in Kansas in 2023.
Before joining JHC, Kylee interned and practiced as an Assistant District Attorney at the Douglas County Attorney’s Office. During her time as an Assistant District Attorney, she handled Juvenile Offender and CINC cases. She also created two new diversion programs for juveniles and drafted a Memorandum of Understanding for truancy prevention services. This Memorandum is now a statewide template for other Kansas counties.
Kylee assists clients with family law matters including divorce, paternity, child custody, child support, spousal maintenance, guardianship, and Child in Need of Care (CINC) matters. She also prepares pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements and defends youths charged as juvenile offenders under the Kansas Juvenile Justice Code. Persons in need of a family law attorney in Douglas County or the surrounding areas may contact Kylee at 785-377-6224 or [email protected].
