Rachel Whitsitt is a family law attorney based in JHC’s Overland Park office. She assists clients throughout the Greater Kansas City area with matters involving divorce, child custody, child support, spousal maintenance, guardianship, grandparent rights, and paternity matters. Rachel offers a wide range of family law services, including full litigation, limited scope representation, and collaborative divorce.

Committed to resolving her clients’ cases as efficiently and fairly as possible, Rachel believes in open and direct communication. Rachel joined JHC following a decade of family law practice alongside her father, long-time Johnson County family law attorney Mike Whitsitt. During this time, Rachel gained significant experience with high-asset divorce cases and related issues—like complex property valuations, making and interpreting premarital agreements, and distinguishing income from property when stock options and S-Corporations are involved. She also has significant experience helping clients navigate complex child custody and child support situations, making sure her clients are able to achieve results geared toward the best interests of their children.
