This week we celebrate National Nurses’ Week. Each year, from May 6th – May 12th, the nation gives deserving recognition to these otherwise unsung heroes. It is not only a time to honor our nurses, but also an educational opportunity for the public to learn and appreciate the role nurses play in the healthcare field. In Kansas, the Kansas State Board of Nursing issues licenses to CRNAs, APRNs, RNs, and LPNs. The KSBN is also responsible for enforcing the laws governing the respective practices of these nurses. The nursing profession and our lives depend upon it. Nurses today have higher than ever stressors and pressures in light of shortages of nurses and increasing job demands. Despite this, it is not uncommon to find nurses making selfless sacrifices in the interests of their patients.
The attorneys at Joseph, Hollander & Craft LLC strive to provide the same level of selfless service to nurses. Our preeminent healthcare defense team can assist year round with general practice advice, defending against licensure complaints or formal allegations, and assisting with applications for initial licensure. If you find yourself in need of an advocate, call Joseph, Hollander & Craft. With offices in Wichita (316-262-939), Topeka (785-234-3272), Lawrence (785-856-0143), and Overland Park (913-948-9490), we serve clients from the Oklahoma border to the Kansas City area.
On behalf of Joseph, Hollander & Craft we wish to express our sincere gratitude to all the nurses that have provided us and our families exemplary care!
