Practice Areas: Ms. Witte is a trial lawyer with an emphasis in labor and employment law and general civil litigation. Much of her practice is devoted to defending employers charged with discriminating on the basis of age, gender, race, disability, or religion under Title VII, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and the Age Discrimination in Employment Act. She has a proven track record of successfully representing clients in state and federal court and before various administrative agencies.
Admitted: Ms. Witte is admitted to practice before the Kansas Supreme Court, all other Kansas courts, the United States District Court for the District of Kansas, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit. Education: Ms. Witte received her Juris Doctor degree in 2006 from Washburn University School of Law in Topeka, Kansas. While attending law school, she was a member of the Moot Court Council and served as its President. She was invited to be a member of the Order of Barristers, a national honor society for law school graduates who demonstrate exceptional advocacy skills. Ms. Witte graduated magna cum laude from Wichita State University in 2002, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication.
Bar and Community Involvement: Ms. Witte is a Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America and serves as secretary American Inns of Court, Wesley E. Brown Chapter. She is a member of the Wichita Bar Association, a past member of its Board of Governors, and recipient of the organization’s President’s Award in recognition of her outstanding service to the Bar. Ms. Witte is also a member of the Wichita Women Attorneys Association, and Young Professionals of Wichita. A long-time supporter of Music Theatre of Wichita, Ms. Witte has been a member of the theatre’s Board of Directors and serves as President of the Board for 2018.
Ms. Witte has been recognized by Missouri & Kansas Super Lawyers as a Rising Star in employment litigation defense and was named an “associate to watch” by Chambers USA; and most recently ranked in the Labor and Employment Litigation sector.
