Admitted: Ms. Wittman is admitted to practice before the Kansas Supreme Court and all other Kansas courts.
Education: Ms. Wittman completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Kansas with a Bachelor of Arts in History. She received her juris doctorate from Washburn School of Law, where she was honored with the Max Rowinsky Trial Advocacy Award and served as a staff writer for the Washburn Law Journal. Her note, Adult Rape Victims Need Protection Too: The Application of Closed Circuit Television and the Exception from Maryland v. Craig to Adult Rape Victim Testimony, was published in 55 Washburn L.J. 701 (2016).
Professional Experience: Ms. Wittman was an Assistant District Attorney with the Douglas County District Attorney’s Office from 2017 until 2021. In that position, Ms. Wittman honed her courtroom skills—trying felony, misdemeanor, and traffic cases to verdict. Before joining the D.A.’s office, Ms. Wittman was a research attorney for Judge G. Joseph Pierron at the Kansas Court of Appeals.
