For Immediate Release 12/1/15:
Joseph, Hollander & Craft LLC is pleased to announce that Alli M. Jacoby has joined the firm as Chief Operating Officer to oversee the firm’s operations and its Wichita, Topeka and Lawrence Kansas offices.
An attorney with extensive law firm management experience, Jacoby joins the firm from Hughes, Hubbard & Reed, an international law firm based in New York. She was instrumental in the opening and administration of its Kansas City office from 2011 to 2015. Prior to her experience at Hughes Hubbard, Jacoby served as Assistant Director of Practice Group Management at Shook, Hardy & Bacon LLP in Kansas City from 2008 to 2011.
“Alli is that rare individual who not only understands the practice of law, but also is an extraordinary operations, human resources, finance, client services and legal project manager,” said Managing Member Christopher M. Joseph. “We’re thrilled to have her take the day-to-day reins of the firm to oversee accounting, HR, IT, logistics and other support services and operations.”
Jacoby holds a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice Administration from Mount Mercy College and earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law. She also holds an MBA from Benedictine College and completed a European Management Residency in Entrepreneurship and Business at Maastricht University in the Netherlands.
“I am honored that Joseph, Hollander & Craft invited me to join the firm,” Jacoby said. “I was immediately attracted by the firm’s people, culture and reputation in the legal community. Over the course of our discussions, I quickly identified the very rare opportunity to play such a pivotal role in the development of new growth and management strategies at a well-established firm like Joseph, Hollander & Craft. The firm has continuously embraced new technology and best practices to enhance its legal services—we aim to build on a long legacy of excellence by capitalizing on my experience at some of Kansas City’s top law firms to solidify Joseph, Hollander & Craft as one of the leading law firms in the entire Midwest region.”
The impetus to hire Jacoby stems from the firm’s rapid growth toward a mid-sized, regional firm, according to Joseph.
“We are at the tipping point where we are fortunate to need an experienced, full-time COO who can focus solely on management and long-term planning,” Joseph said. “We are gaining a strong foothold in the greater Kansas City area, and we see tremendous potential throughout the central Midwest region. Alli’s leadership will be key as we implement our long-term vision for the Firm.”
Joseph, Hollander & Craft LLC has 17 attorneys, 17 support staff, and offices in Wichita, Kansas City, Lawrence & Topeka. The firm’s primary practice areas include complex criminal defense; civil litigation; management, employment and labor law; and family law.
