Lindsey Erickson defends adults and juveniles charged with all manner of felonies and misdemeanors—including drug crimes, sex crimes, violent crimes, property crimes, and DUIs. She also defends her clients in related administrative matters.

Lindsey has devoted her entire legal career to criminal defense practice in eastern Kansas. She spent 13 years at a respected Overland Park criminal defense firm before opening her own law firm with Dionne Scherff. Stunned by her talent, JHC’s criminal defense group determined to make Lindsey a colleague rather than a competitor. That wish became a reality when Erickson Scherff LLC merged with Joseph, Hollander & Craft LLC in 2016.

Lindsey’s clients are just as impressed. They describe her as a passionate advocate with spectacular trial skills. They appreciate her transparent communication style and her cool, collected presence in the courtroom. And they admire her ability to remain professional, yet approachable.

While she genuinely cares about each of her clients, there’s no denying Lindsey has a soft spot for children and teens. In light of her ample experience defending juveniles, the Chief Judge of the Johnson County District Court appointed Lindsey to sit on the Juvenile Corrections Advisory Board. Outside of work, Lindsey volunteers for KidsTLC, an organization that provides services for children and families experiencing mental and behavioral health challenges, developmental trauma, and autism.

Lindsey is a member of the Kansas, Johnson County, and Wyandotte County Bar Associations. She also is a member of the Kansas Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and a Barrister of the American Inns of Court, Earl E. O’Connor Chapter.
