Ms. Sourgens is an experienced civil litigator who has successfully managed cases from investigation through trial and appeal. Ms. Sourgens brings unique litigation perspective to her clients and cases after serving trial and appellate courts at the state and federal levels.

Education: Ms. Sourgens received her juris doctorate cum laude from Tulane Law School, where she served as Editor-in-Chief of the Tulane Law Review. Ms. Sourgens obtained her Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, from Tufts University.
Professional History: Ms. Sourgens began her legal career as a law clerk to the Honorable Ivan L.R. Lemelle of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana. After her clerkship, Ms. Sourgens joined a large international law firm in Houston where she worked on civil trials and appeals. Shortly after relocating to Washington, D.C. in 2007, she moved to another large international law firm where she practiced commercial litigation. Some of her representative matters include civil trials, arbitration, and appeals involving contracts disputes, antitrust, business torts, legal malpractice, and lawyer discipline. Most recently, Ms. Sourgens served as Research Attorney to the Honorable Marla J. Luckert of the Kansas Supreme Court.
